1. The Jinping West Wind Power Project, located in Whenshan, Yunnan Province, is China's largest wind power project in plateau mountain under construction, with an average altitude of 2,200m. The project's first batch with 220,000 kW was connected to the grid for power generation recently. The total installed capacity of the project will reach 880,000 kW.
2. Ralf Brandstätter, chairman and CEO of Volkswagen Group China, said at the 2023 China Auto Forum that the newly established Volkswagen China Technology Co., Ltd. with an investment of 7.5 billion Yuan, is the largest R&D center of Volkswagen, which will focus on the development of advanced pure electric technology and intelligent network technology, according to Shanghai Securities Journal on Thursday.
3. Goldwind recently hoisted the record-setting GWH252-16MW offshore wind turbine in Pingtan, China. The turbine set the record for the world’s largest single-unit capacity, biggest impeller diameter, and lightest weight per MW. One GWH252-16MW offshore wind turbine can produce more than 66 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually.
4. As of the end of June 2023, the newly added new energy grid-connected installed capacity in Yunnan Province reached 7.1165 million kW, 4.8 times last year. So far, the province's new energy grid-connected installed capacity has reached 20.7 million kW, and new energy has become the second largest power source in Yunnan Province after hydropower.
5. East China Solar's N-type high-efficiency solar cell project with an annual output of 10GW, with a total investment of 6 billion yuan, was signed in Bowu, Anhui on Wed. The project is planned to start construction in July this year. After being put into operation, it is expected to reach an annual output value of exceeding 10 billion yuan and provide 1,300 jobs.

The scale of hydrogen production from alkaline electrolyzed water in China is predicted to reach 10GW in 2025 and 100GW in 2030, corresponding to the demand for 20,000 sets of 1000Nm³ electrolyzers, said Ouyang Minggao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chairman of the International Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association at the 2023 International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicle Conference on Thursday.
7. Ranking First In The World! Shanghai promoted nearly 1.2 million NEVs by May 2023, and the city has over 697,000 charging piles and 120 power swap stations, said Tang Wenkan, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization at the 2023 China Auto Forum.
8. China General Nuclear Power announced on Thursday that the total power generation of its nuclear power units in the first half of 2023 was approximately 113.292 billion kWh, up 14.21% YoY. The total on-grid electricity was 105.918 billion kWh, up 14.09% YoY.
9. SPIC's total installed capacity of electricity has reached 237 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of clean energy has exceeded 160 million kilowatts. Among them, the installed capacity of photovoltaics is 67.8068 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of wind power is 48.4131 million kilowatts.
10. Changan Automobile announced on Thursday that its new energy vehicles sold 39,734 units in June 2023, an increase of 117.51% year-on-year; the cumulative sales from January to June were 176,057 units, an increase of 107.23% year-on-year.
