The cumulative natural gas production of Petro China Southwest Oil&Gasfield Company,the largest natural gas producer in Southwest China,has surpassed 700 billion cubic meters,optimizing China's energy structure and promoting regional green development,CCTV News reported on Saturday.
From January to August,the company drilled 301 new gas wells and added 7.7 billion cubic meters of production capacity.During this period,its natural gas output reached 30.03 billion cubic meters.
In the first half of the year,the company's natural gas production rose 12 percent year-on-year,reaching a record high.In the second half,it plans to bring 250 gas wells into production and add 7.24 billion cubic meters of annual capacity,according to Yang Hongzhi,the company's deputy chief geologist.
The company also aims to ensure the safe execution of nine key projects,accelerate improvements in gas storage and emergency peak-shaving capacity,and ensure timely delivery of natural gas to households and industrial enterprises promptly,Yang added.
Petro China Southwest Oil&Gasfield Company has confirmed several super-large gas fields with trillion-cubic-meter reserves,including the Anyue Gas Field,achieving rapid growth in conventional gas,shale gas,and tight gas production.By the end of this year,the company's annual output will reach 50 billion cubic meters,CCTV News reported.
The company's current gas supply network covers regions including the core economic zones of Sichuan and Chongqing and the Yunnan-Guizhou industrial corridor.It serves more than 25 million households and more than 10,000 industrial enterprises,according to Liu Wei,deputy director of the company's production and operation department.
